Over 44 lakh students are set to appear for the CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exams, starting February 15th. To ensure smooth commutes for the approximately 3.30 lakh students and thousands of school staff using the metro, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced several student-friendly measures.
DMRC, in partnership with the CISF, will prioritize students carrying CBSE admit cards during security checks. These students will also receive priority at Ticket Office Machines (TOM) and Customer Care (CC) centers. This move aims to minimize delays and stress for students on exam days.
Here’s how Delhi Metro is Easing Exam-Day Travel
- Students with admit cards get priority at security and ticket counters.
- DMRC staff visited schools to inform students about the nearest metro stations and available support.
- Schools will display posters with details of the closest metro station and a QR code for easy ticket booking.
- Special centralized announcements at metro stations will guide students.
- A detailed list of metro stations near exam centers is available on the DMRC website and mobile app.
