The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to various management programs across India. The CMAT exam covers five sections: Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. 

The CMAT exam meticulously evaluates a candidate’s aptitude for management studies through its comprehensive syllabus. It covers a wide range of topics, including mathematics, logic, English language skills, general knowledge, and business concepts. 

  • Five sections, 100 questions: The CMAT exam consists of five sections: Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Each section has 20 questions, for a total of 100 questions.
  • Innovation and Entrepreneurship gains weightage: In 2021, Innovation & Entrepreneurship was introduced as an optional section. This year, it has become mandatory for all test-takers.

  • Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation: This section tests a candidate’s mathematical ability and their ability to interpret data presented in various formats like tables, charts, and graphs.
