The CBSE conducted a surprise inspection at 27 schools in Delhi and Rajasthan on September 3. Ensuring proper education quality and compliance with regulations. The crackdown is aimed at addressing the problem of dummy schools like scores of students are here who had been admitted to these schools and taken board exams without attending classes.

Over 1.6 Million Students Appeared for CBSE Class 12 Exams in 2024

The surprise inspection were conducted to ascertain whether schools are adhering to CBSE norms and bylaws, the board said. Those included a CBSE official, plus another principal from an affiliated school. They dragged in at the same time to keep things quiet and gather accurate real-time data.

Dummy Schools: A Challenge to Quality Education

The problem of dummy schools raises as a few students make it their goal to do successfully. They appear for entrance exams like engineering and medicine. These students take admission in prototypical schools to prepare for entrance exams, without appearing in classes. This is a malpractice which the Central Board of Secondary Education wants to end with this crackdown as it makes unfair level playing field for all students.
