The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared Class 10 and 12 board exam results on May 13, 2024. While many students celebrated their achievements, some may require additional support.
CBSE offers various post-result options for students who wish to improve their scores. These include:
- Verification: Students can request online verification to check for marking errors.
- Photocopy of Answer Book: A scanned copy of the answer booklet allows for closer examination.
- Re-evaluation: Students can opt for re-checking of their answer book by a different examiner.
Supplementary Exams Replace Compartment Exams
In line with the National Education Policy 2020, the CBSE has introduced Supplementary Exams to replace Compartment Exams. This offers students more chances to excel:
- Class 10: Students who failed two subjects can now take the Supplementary Exam to pass.
- Class 12: Students who fail one subject can take the exam to pass.
Students who passed by replacing a 6th or 7th subject are eligible to take the Supplementary Exam to clear the original failed subject.
Even students who pass can appear in the exam to improve their scores in two subjects (Class 10) or one subject (Class 12).
- Supplementary Exam: Starts July 15th, 2024.
- Syllabus: Same as the Main Examinations 2024.
- CBSE Main Examinations 2025: Begin February 15th, 2025.
The CBSE understands that exams can be stressful, and these post-result options provide valuable opportunities for students to improve their academic standing.
