The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) recently issued a clarification regarding New Curriculum & Textbook changes for Classes 3 and 6 in the 2024-25 academic year
New Curriculum for Classes 3 & 6
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has revised the curriculum and textbooks for grades 3 and 6. To align with the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE).
No Changes for Other Classes Schools will continue using the existing textbooks for all classes except grades 3 and 6.
New Textbooks Available by July 2024
The National Council of Educational Research and Training clarified that there is no delay in releasing the new Class 6 textbooks. All books will be available by July 2024.
Bridge Course for Class 6 & Guidelines for Class 3
To ensure a smooth transition, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has developed a bridge course for Class 6 students and concise guidelines for Class 3 teachers.
The purpose of this amendment is to increase the learning experiences for students. In these grades by incorporating contemporary pedagogical practices.
