Byju’s CEO Steps Down, Founder Manages the Daily Business

Byju's leadership change

Byju’s founder Byju Raveendran will resume day-to-day operations after the company’s India CEO Arjun Mohan stepped down. Mohan’s exit follows a series of leadership departures at Byju’s.

Raveendran, who previously focused on fundraising and global expansion, will leverage his experience to guide Byju’s “towards its next phase of growth and innovation,” the company said in a statement. Mohan will become an external advisor.

Byju’s is also restructuring, and consolidating its business into three divisions – learning app, online classes, and test prep – each with its leader. The move comes after shareholder approval for a $200 million rights issue to raise capital.
