Over Rs 50 Lakh Worth of Lights Stolen from Ayodhya’s Ram Path and Bhakti Path

Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh: A shocking incident has come to light in the holy city of Ayodhya. Over 3,800 bamboo lights and 36 Gobo projector lights, worth more than Rs 50 lakh, have been stolen from the iconic Ram Path and Bhakti Path, Ayodhya.

The lights were installed by Yash Enterprises and Krishna Automobiles under a contract with the Ayodhya Development Authority to illuminate the city. A total of 6,400 bamboo lights adorned Ram Path, while 96 Gobo projector lights enhanced Bhakti Path’s beauty.

However, a recent inspection revealed the theft of a significant portion of these lights. The contractor, Shekhar Sharma, lodged a complaint at the Ram Janmabhoomi police station on August 9.

The incident has raised concerns about security in the high-profile area. Ayodhya authorities are investigating the matter to apprehend the culprits and recover the stolen lights.

The theft of these lights, which were crucial in enhancing Ayodhya’s spiritual ambiance. It has dealt a blow to the city’s image.

Ayodhya is known as the birthplace of Lord Rama, a central figure in Hindu mythology. Its significance lies in its deep-rooted religious history and the epic Ramayana, which is centered around the life of Lord Rama.
