The Supreme Court criticized Patanjali Ayurved for making false claims against allopathy in its advertisements. While acknowledging Patanjali’s positive work, the court emphasized, “You are doing good work but you can’t degrade allopathy. You are not so innocent that you didn’t know what we said in earlier order.”
Patanjali founder Ramdev and MD Balkrishna tendered apologies and offered corrective measures, including a public apology. The court granted them one week to comply and adjourned the hearing until April 23rd. This comes after the court rejected Patanjali’s initial apology last week, highlighting its concern for public health and its zero tolerance for misleading advertising.
