A video showing a YouTuber harassing Jain monks for not wearing clothes has sparked outrage online. The incident has drawn the attention of the Uttarakhand Chief Minister, who has ordered an investigation and appropriate action against the YouTuber.

The video, which went viral on social media platforms like [formerly Twitter] (x), shows a YouTuber named Parshvan questioning Jain monks about their attire. The monks calmly explained their religious practice of not wearing clothes as a way to control their desires. However, the YouTuber persisted with the abusive comments and arguments.

Chief Minister Orders Action

After the video went viral, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took immediate action. He directed the state Director General of Police to thoroughly investigate the incident and take appropriate legal action against the YouTuber.

Members of the Jain community strongly condemned the YouTuber’s act. Many social media users demanded his arrest and strict action against those who disrespect religious practices.

YouTuber Apologizes

Following the backlash, the YouTuber posted an apology video on [formerly Twitter] (x). He claimed that his intention was only to learn more about Jain culture. However, the timing of the apology has led some to question its sincerity.

Despite the YouTuber’s apology, the police investigation is expected to move forward. The outcome will determine what specific charges he may face.
