In the last 3 months, household shopping bills have risen by 9% due to price hikes. Consumer goods companies hike prices in the range of 2 to 17%. Soaps and body washes prices hiked between 2-9%, hair oils prices hiked between 8-11% and FMCG food items prices increased by 3-17%. All the data is provided by the Businessline. As the leading snack maker company Bikaji is all set to increase prices by 2-4% and for some items they have increased prices in April. Tata Consumer Products also increased its prices to match with competitors.

Although there is a relief for consumers, As Hindustan Unilever has no plans to increase prices in this financial year. Dabar India and Emami will indicate that they also increase prices in single digits this current year. According to the customer, this price hike caused his bill to rise to 13000 in June from 12000 in May.
